Two new groups for Tuesdays at Barb=C3=A8s in Brooklyn!
TUESDAY September 2 Kabile Band, 9 pm
If you missed their excellent party at the Ukrainian Restaurant, now=E2=80=
=99s your chance to hear the real deal from Bulgaria with love. They=E2=80=
=99ll treat you to exquisite Bulgarian folk music on the old-style traditio=
nal instruments.
This is their second US tour and we are delighted that they will be joined =
this year by Kabile's killer and sweetheart drummer Angel Krastev who is al=
so the soloist drummer for the Yambol Ensemble.
TUESDAY September 9 Kavala Brass Band, 9 pm
Kavala Band will entertain you with juicy regional brass music from norther=
n Greece and neighboring areas. The band is led by ZU trumpeter Michael Gi=
nsburg and features Lefteris Bournias on the fretless clarinet.
Barb=C3=A8s is located at the corner of 6th ave and 9th st in Park Slope, B=
rooklyn. Nearest train is F to 7th ave, walk one block down the hill on 9t=
h st.
